Time Out Market Dubai, the only food and cultural market that brings the city’s best chefs, restaurateurs and unique cultural experiences together under one roof, will be celebrating its one year anniversary over the Eid break, featuring a full-on entertainment experience for the whole family.
Time Out Market will also celebrate this milestone by welcoming four new vendors. SLAB cocina, Lana Lusa, The Lighthouse – Pastry and Dessert and Boon Coffee will join the line-up of 18 award-winning, home-grown concepts, with the chefs and restaurateurs available for meet and greets across the anniversary weekend.
SLAB cocina
SLAB Test Kitchen is a homegrown Dubai concept and steward of modern contemporary cuisine and culture with a Latin flair. With intense global flavours as the focus for SLAB, Chef Rodriguez’s rich and soulful cooking is a mosaic of the zesty, bright and bold flavours that draw from his rich culinary heritage.
At Time Out Market Dubai, SLAB will present SLAB cocina, serving up contemporary pan Latin American cuisine with intense global flavours. The menu will feature dishes including Spicy Chicken Tinga Taquitos, Parmesan-Aji Amarillo Creamy Chicken Empanadas, Tuna Tostada Nikkei, Peruvian BBQ Shrimp, Crispy Fish Tacos, as well as Slab Kale Salad, Mexican Caesar Salad and Corn Fritters.
Lana Lusa
Lana Lusa is renowned in Dubai for its Portuguese dishes that are richly filled with Mediterranean memory and made for sharing – whether you’re in a crowd or a couple, looking for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner.
At Time Out Market Dubai, Lana Lusa will present a menu with its roots in Portugal with touches of other Mediterranean influences throughout. Highlights include Pastéis de Bacalhau (fried salted codfish), Peixinhos da Horta (tempura green beans, garlic and mayo), Pica Pau (rump cap sauteed with mustard and pickles), Salada de Bacalhau com Robalo e Abacate (salted codfish with seabass and avocado), Francesinha (Portuguese sandwich with beef, veal ham, cheese, chorizo, francesinha sauce served with fries) all finished off with a classic Pasteis de Nata.
The Lighthouse – Pastry & Dessert
The Lighthouse, founded by Hashem Montasser and Hany Bassiouny, is well known in Dubai and beyond as a homegrown, highly curated and holistic experience marrying dining and catering with a retail gifting concept and a podcast.
At Time Out Market Dubai, The Lighthouse – Pastry & Dessert will have executive pastry chef Waddah Bou Saad at the helm, and will feature its trademark pastries and desserts, including The Lighthouse Umm Ali, topped with malt ice cream, raisins, pistachios and almonds, Passion Fruit & Yuzu Cheesecake, a choice of Chocolate, Caramel or Pistachio Éclair, and Saffron Milk Cake. In addition, Crème Brûlée Pancakes will be on offer as a weekend breakfast special.
Boon Coffee
Founded by Orit Mohammed, Boon Coffee is a speciality coffee roaster and supplier based in Dubai. Boon Coffee is carefully sourced from farms in Ethiopia and from select locations around the world to ensure that only the best Arabica beans reach your cup.
At Time Out Market Dubai, Boon Coffee will serve a selection of coffee classics like Espresso, Cortado, Macchiato and Iced Mocha, complemented by Infused Nitro Cold Brew and Cold Brew Iced Tea. To eat, diners will find all day breakfast classics like Bircher Muesli, Avocado Toast and Salmon & Cream Cheese Toast, and finished off with pastries and cakes, including Cookies, Blondies and Quinoa Cruffin.

Time Out Market Dubai – the seventh Time Out Market – opened in April 2021, and since then has become the most exciting, one-of-a-kind culinary and cultural destination – and the largest food hall – to open in the UAE.
To celebrate a fantastic first year, from 2nd-4th May guests can expect activities including face painting and balloon bending, DJs and live music performances, as well as enjoying dishes from the city’s best chefs and restaurateurs, with a chance to meet these homegrown heroes, too. Monday 2nd May
1pm to 4pm: Dina Stars will perform pitch-perfect renditions of popular R&B and contemporary pop songs
2pm to 5pm: Kids activities including roaming face painting and balloon bending
8pm to 11pm: DJ Dadou will take over for the evening: known for his ‘open format’ style, selecting the perfect tracks by reading the crowd
Tuesday 3rd May
1pm to 4pm: DJ Ivo Morello, one-half of Dutch duo, the Morello Twins, will be taking to the Time Out Stage to increase the tempo with his electronic tunes
2pm to 5pm: Kids activities including roaming face painting and balloon bending
7pm to 10pm: Carl & The Reda Mafia – with members hailing from India, Greece, Egypt and Nigeria, guests can expect funk and rock from these international sensations
Wednesday 4th May
1pm to 4pm: Danny Aridi, a Canadian-Lebanese singer-songwriter signed to Universal Music, will be bringing unique renditions of classics, chart-toppers, and plenty of other belters
2pm to 5pm: Kids activities including roaming face painting and balloon bending
8pm to 11pm: DJ Frezidante’s set will include brand new tracks and showcase rare records spanning hip-hop, afrobeats and R&B
