The Street Food Scene From The Lion City Arrives In Dubai

The Noodle House, Dubai’s favourite homegrown legacy restaurant concept, has launched a limited-edition Singaporean-inspired menu as part of its ‘Feed Your Asian Soul’ campaign – which has already taken in South Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan.

Running from 9 September through to 30 September, the fourth instalment of The Noodle House’s summer campaign has been crafted to offer diners a hawker-style dining experience from one of the world’s best-known street-food destinations.

The culinary masters at the Asian soul food concept were faced with the challenge of whittling down an expansive array of street-food specials all summer long, to identify the top three popular creations for this menu – Lau Pa Sat style chicken satay, Hawker Chan style soy chicken noodle and Curry Laksa noodles with aromatic leaves.

“It’s been an action-packed summer learning the hidden culinary secrets and trialling a range of dishes from some of Asia’s biggest food hubs,” said Brand Chef, Stefan Borchardt. “Our biggest challenge has been deciding which dish made the cut to our limited-edition menus. Based on availability of ingredients and the different audiences that we see come through our doors, we’ve selected options to suit a myriad of tastes.”

Foodies don’t have to travel to try these street-hawker favourites, starting with the Lau Pa Sat style chicken satay (6 pcs for AED 35 and 12 pcs for AED 59), soy glazed chicken satay topped with crunchy coarse peanut sauce and pineapple purée.

The noodle experts will also be serving up bowls of the Hawker Chan style soy chicken noodles (AED 58), fresh egg noodles tossed with soy chicken and pak choi.

Another must-try is The Noodle House’s variation on a perennial favourite – Curry Laksa noodles (AED 66) served with coconut curry, roasted chicken, prawns, tofu and fish balls.

Other treats include a twist on the famous Singaporean Sling (AED 22) – the adapted mocktail is made using a combination of fresh orange, pineapple and lemon juice with grenadine, the perfect thirst-quencher for any meal from the Lion City.

The ‘Feed Your Asian Soul’ summer campaign was inspired by a five-leg tour undertaken by The Noodle House Brand Chef, Stefan Borchardt, and Operations Manager, Steven Holloway, to South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Burma and Singapore in search of inspiration.

The special hawker Singaporean menu is available across The Noodle House’s Dubai outlets – including its newest branch in JBR – and the restaurant’s home delivery services for those who prefer dining in the comfort of their own home. Guests can expect the final instalment of the ‘Feed Your Asian Soul’ tour with a limited-edition menu from Myanmar in coming months.
