The iconic ocean-liner docked permanently as a floating hotel, heritage, dining and event destination in Dubai has announced that the widely anticipated launch of the Pavilion restaurant will be on 2 November 2019. It will open on the Pavilion Deck – a space once occupied by the QE2’s outdoor swimming pool during her years of service.
Located on the lower aft deck of the QE2, The Pavilion will offer an al fresco dining experience that infuses its nautical surroundings with the vibrancy of the Mediterranean. Commanding breathtaking views of the Mina Rashid Yacht Club and Dubai’s glistening skyline beyond, it offers a seasonal menu of fresh Aegean delicacies from lunch through to dinner.
Located just 10 minutes from Dubai World Trade Center and 30 minutes from Dubai Marina, the Pavilion will open from 12pm to 11pm daily and will welcome both inhouse Passengers, local residents and tourists alike.
The Mediterranean menu features a hearty selection of salads including Mista, Grace and Libanesa. The stone-baked pizza menu features all of the favourites as well as a signature seafood pizza, while the al dente pasta selection includes a Rigatoni Al Buffalo, Spaghetti Al Putinesca and Seafood Linguini.
A succulent range of main courses from both the land and the sea include 8oz Beef Ribeye, Grilled Giant Garlic Prawns and Pan-fried Red Snapper. The Pavilion sharing signatures showcase the best of the menu with the Thalassina Sta Karvouna (a fresh seafood platter) and the Greek Charcuterie Board. The collection of desserts include a Greek Custard Pudding, Rose Rice Pudding and Greek Orange Filo Cake. Prices on the food menu start from AED25.
A refreshing drinks menu offers expertly concocted cocktails and mocktails including the QE2 Sangria as well as an extensive sommerliers collection of grapes.
On Fridays, the Pavilion deck will be transformed into an extension of the popular QE2 Brunch. It will feature fresh pasta, seafood and BBQ cooking stations on the decks as well as an extensive Mediterranean style buffet in the restaurant. Guests can enjoy the tunes of the live band, whilst the little ones can run wild in the dedicated indoor kids area.
