The Cheeky Camel, the beloved neighborhood food and drink venue, has unveiled a vibrant upgrade to its food menu. The local bar and restaurant has been serving up delicious European brasserie classics –with a hint of Middle Eastern influence –since its successful launch in October 2021. The new and refined menu is sure to tick all the boxes, with something for everyone.
The bar snacks menu marries perfectly with the extensive bar and cocktail menu, with new additions like the Panko Fried Avocado, served with a tangy chipotle mayo dip, and the Nachos topped with baked brie, a tangy raspberry coulis, and fig chutney.
The new slider section on the menu boasts several options, including Wagyu Beef topped with veal bacon, truffle mayo, onion, and Monterey Jack cheese, the In-House Falafel served with guacamole, lettuce, tomato, hummus, beetroot, and cabbage pickle, and the Vegetable Quinoaslider topped with a tomato relish, lettuce, and fresh sliced tomato.
What makes a European gastropub menu complete? Signature Steak Cuts, of course. The new menu extends options around its signature steak dish – butchered in-house and sourced directly from farmers around the world, with an unrivalled quality of all-natural, humanely raised beef. Food lovers now have a choice of three steaks: a 250g USDA Prime Black Angus Sirloin, a 250gm USDA Prime Black Angus Rib Eye, or a 230gm Black Angus Beef Fillet,all served with chunky chips, onion jam, truffle oil, roast garlic and confit vine tomato, and a choice of Café de Paris,béarnaise, or pepper sauce.
Other menu must-haves include the Crispy Skin Chicken Breast, served with wilted baby spinach, roasted Mediterranean vegetables, tomato puree, and chicken jus, Confit Duck Leg with braised chicory, dauphine potatoes, and lashing of orange spiced duck au jus, and Forest Mushroom Ravioli, served with parmesan crisps, rocket salad, mozzarella ciabatta, and truffle oil. The Miso Glazed Cod is a delicious addition, served with charred baby leaks, black rice, radish, caviar, and lime.
Customer favourites returning from the previous menu include locally-sourced Dibba Bay Oysters – Fresh Shucked Oyster, the Oysters Rockerfeller, or on ice – and traditional oven-baked pizzas in four unique flavours, including the newProsciutto & Burrata and Mediterranean Vegetable.
Diners looking to satisfy their sweet tooth can try the Tonka Bean Crème Brulee, served with elderflower, strawberry ice cream, compressed berries, and meringue, or opt for the guest favourite and menu returner,Baked Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake topped with white chocolate Chantilly whipped cream and strawberries.
