In celebration of China’s most important festival of the year, the one Michelin star Hakkasan Dubai, as well as the city’s hottest entertainment hotspot Ling Ling, invite guests to usher in the Year of the Snake with special dishes. Known for its wisdom, longevity, and fortune, the snake symbolises a year of charm, elegance and transformation, letting go of the old and embracing the new, promising a prosperous start to 2025.
Hakkasan Dubai
From Tuesday 28th January to Wednesday 12th February, the award-winning Cantonese restaurant, Hakkasan Dubai at Atlantis, The Palm, welcomes the Year of the Snake with a limited-edition menu featuring exclusive new dishes, a festive cocktail and a special dessert. A traditional custom of the Chinese New Year is hanging wishes on a ‘wishing tree’ to bring good luck, prosperity, and success. Guests will be invited to write their wishes on a red ribbon before tying it to the restaurant’s wall latticing in hopes that they will come true in the coming year. Adding to the festive atmosphere, a unique lion dance is also planned throughout the evening on Wednesday 29th January to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
Priced at AED 738 per person, the nine-course Chinese New Year menu was created by Executive Chefs from Hakkasan restaurants across the globe. The Year of the Snake is associated with wisdom, charm, and elegance, which has been used as inspiration for the ingredients and design of the dishes to create a unique menu. Highlights include Golden “Yuan Bao”, a baked dim sum with king crab, caviar, and riceberry crisp, shaped like traditional Chinese ingots, symbolising wealth and prosperity; Thai snake fruit salad with persimmon, grapes, nashi pear, barley and kumquat dressing, representing harmony and renewal; smoked Silverhill duck breast with maitake mushroom, pickled date and five spice fermented bean sauce, honouring rich traditions, harmony and fortune for the year ahead. Guests can end the meal on a sweet note with “Hongbao”, a lucky red envelope dessert, featuring mango curry mousse, cashew peanut praline, and mango passionfruit sorbet, a playful nod to the cherished tradition of gifting red envelopes.
Additional standout cocktails will be curated including Xiǎo Lóng, The Snake, featuring Hennessy VSOP, Campari, Sichuan pepper, pomegranate, grapefruit and Supasawa. A non-alcoholic version will also be available, featuring Crossip Hibiscus, Lyre’s Italian Orange, CleanCo Rhubarb, Sichuan pepper, pomegranate, grapefruit and Supasawa. Renowned for unforgettable celebrations, Chinese New Year holds a special place in Hakkasan’s culinary calendar. Each Hakkasan restaurant from across the globe will be celebrating with a special menu and Chinese New Year festivities.
