Nestled in the heart of Palm Jumeirah, the award-winning Japanese venue, OKKU invites guests to experience its all-new “Disco Brunch”. Starting May 18, this novel brunch promises to transport guests to the colourful 80s and 90s era with its specially curated brunch menu, upbeat music, colourful sake barrels, disco balls and refreshing beverages.
Taking place every Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with an unmissable after party from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Disco Brunch offers a one-of-a-kind culinary journey that seamlessly blends authentic Japanese cuisine with retro vibes. As guests groove to classic hits from the 80s, 90sand naughties as well as popular R&B tunes, they can relish in an extensive array of authentic Japanese delicacies showcasing the freshest ingredients and subtle flavours the restaurant is known for.
Diners can start their meal with a bowl of miso soup, selected appetisers and salads. Options may include Seaweed Salad, Spinach Goma, Duck Salad or OKKU’s signature salad served with crispy quinoa, apple wakame and drizzled with ginger-goma dressing. For the main course, guests will have the option to choose from a selection of OKKU’s most loved dishes including Yuzu-Saikyo Miso Black Cod; Miso Salmon Teriyaki; Chili-Miso Baby Chicken Yakiniku; Wagyu Steak or Chap Chae, glass noodles accompanied by shitake mushrooms, bell peppers and garlic-sesame-soy, each served with a side of Unagi Riceor steamed white rice and rotating side dishes. To finish on a sweet note guests will be treated to a platter of the Chef’s favourite desserts. Diners can also delight in an extensive, unlimited selection of Oysters, Nigiri, Sashimi, Makis, Temakis, Ceviches andKushiyakis will be available at the live station.
In addition to all the above, there will be a truly innovative Sake Station with OKKU’s own blends and different flavours of Sake for guests to indulge in.
