Dani García opens the doors of his Michelin-starred Smoked Room Dubai to one of the city’s most beloved chefs, Mohamad Orfali from Orfali Bros. The two powerhouses will join forces to create a very special menu on Monday, September 9th at the prestigious Smoked Room located in the St. Regis Gardens at The Palm Jumeirah.
The menu will take the very exclusive group of guests on a journey through some of their best signature dishes, all under the “fire Omakase” vision of Dani García, known for his creative flair and command of Andalusian cuisine. All this, just over a month after both Dani and Mohamad celebrated their first Michelin stars for their respective restaurants.
Back in 2022, Smoked Room Madrid became García’s big return to fine dining, on his own terms. A very small room created as an Omakase that combines Japanese and Spanish culinary cultures with the very unique, creative and personal point of view of the chef, using fire and smoke as the main techniques to obtain complex and intense flavours. A restaurant that strives for perfection and that only six months after opening, received two shiny Michelin stars. Now, in what appeared to be a déjà vu, Dani and his team repeated the milestone receiving one star six months after opening Smoked Room Dubai.

Dani and Mohamad are ready to show why they are both known for succeeding while breaking all the rules as they cook an exciting globe-trotting menu on September 9th. Where Andalusia meets Japan and where Aleppo meets France, or Italy, or goes back to Spain. It is precisely this fearless and personal approach to food that makes these chefs a perfect match.
Orfali Bros, which only opened in 2021, graduated to The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list for the first time in 2023 on the 46th spot and was named the No.1 in MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants in early 2023 and again in 2024.
In need of no further introduction, big brother Mohamad is the head chef, leading voice and energetic guiding force in this family affair. A veteran TV cook and restaurant chef in the Middle East, he has taken ingredients, techniques, traditions and influences from across the world and used them to create his own take on Arabic cuisine. While he runs the main kitchen, his two younger brothers, Wassim and Omar, hover one storey above in their own pastry world. Both are classic pâtissiers in the French mould, but with contrasting approaches, leading to a stellar selection of pastries, buns, éclairs and desserts that pepper the menu.
