Spanish Culinary Revolution Hits Dubai With The Opening Of Lola Taberna Española

Dubai is home to amazing restaurants showcasing food from around the world, now Sunset Hospitality Group, known for pioneering unique dining concepts on the international hospitality scene, is aiming to truly put Spain on the map in Dubai with the opening of their new restaurant, Lola Taberna Española.

Chef Daniel Perez, and General Manager Lloy Rubio, both Spanish natives, will be fronting the vibrant and authentic Spanish eatery in Tecom’sTRYP by Wyndham, Al Barsha that recently opened on21st December 2020.

This brand-new restaurant will offer a fresh take on the finest Spanish classics from paella, tapas, Iberic ‘sandwiches’, to Spanish wines, sangria, as well as the largest, and undoubtably finest, selection of Spanish charcuterie in Dubai.

Lloy and Daniel are set on celebrating the best of Spanish culture, which strongly revolves around food, family friends and fun. Lola will give both Spanish expats and other food lovers the chance to finally experience a true Spanish long lunch or evening out.

“We believe in honest ingredients presented in genuine Spanish style and introducing our guests to the wonders of Spanish cuisine, based on fresh and colorful ingredients from all corners of the country.

“Nobody will have the range of Jamón or paella with such depth of flavour. We turn the humble sandwich into a ‘De Cigalas y JamonIberico’, or Crayfish & Iberian cured meat for anglophones, it is not to be missed!”

“Lola will become a hub for the local community and many of our friends craving a little slice of Spain. We have come to realise how much people love authentic Spanish food, without breaking the bank or being in a formal setting. This is precisely what we wish to offer; brilliant food, a jovial environment, a place you will enjoy time and time again.”

Chef Daniel, born and raised in Andalusia, Southern Spain, is passionate about Iberic produce and the country’s culinary heritage. With more than 15 years’ experience, he sharpened his skills in various kitchens in his motherland, before working in some of the finest Spanish restaurants here in Dubai.

He said: “Spanish Extra Virgin Olive Oil is in my opinion the best in the world, but it gets overlooked along with other ingredients, such as the finest smoky Spanish paprika. I am excited to showcase this type of amazing produce in many of our dishes and prove just how incredible they are”.

“The Lola team and I have spent months perfecting authentic black paella and we can’t wait for guests to taste it, that, and everything else we will be putting on the menu of course.”
