The passionate and experienced team behind Soulgreen Italia are excited to announce the launch of Soulgreen in Dubai at VIDA Creek Harbour, their first expansion outside of Italy, on March 8, 2020.
With a focus on the community and being kind to the environment, Soulgreen is a fully licensed social dining and contemporary food concept bringing together the passion for protecting and preserving the planet with delicious and innovative plant-based cuisine. Soulgreen will source their ingredients as much as possible both locally and sustainably, making careful choices about the food and the cooking methods to be respectful to the environment. Consisting of 80% plant based, and 20% fish, the menu is designed to be kind to the planet while also offering inclusivity to other non-plant-based guests, meaning there is truly something for everyone.
What you eat isn’t just about food: it’s a way of life. Soulgreen are committed to respecting seasonality, supporting small-scale producers, and believe in engaging with local farmers who share the same values. Soulgreen also have a commitment to being eco-friendly and don’t use any plastic bottles with all of their containers being biodegradable. Water is filtered and most important of all, completely free and unlimited for both still and sparkling, a true first for the UAE.
“This is our first Soulgreen outside Italy, and I am very proud to open at VIDA Creek Harbour, with majestic views of the iconic Dubai skyline. Opening the first Soulgreen in Dubai, the hub of the region was a natural decision, and I am both excited and confident about future expansion within the GCC. As a company we are making a commitment to being eco-friendly, plastic free and working with local suppliers who support our beliefs for giving back to the community and being kind to the environment,” says founder Stefano Percassi.
The menu is broken down into: Bites, Bowls, Pasta and Soups, Burgers, Salads and Sweets. Being both gluten and dairy free with an emphasis on pleasure and enjoyment, every dish is mindfully created using the most beautiful fresh ingredients, from the homemade green hummus and crudités, to the Pacha Mama Bowl, a quinoa base rich in protein and nutrients or the warming Nonna I miss You, a traditional minestrone Soup with a twist. Burgers are equally as rich in flavour and just as juicy and chunky, packed with plant protein punch and anti-oxidants. Highlights include the Red Quinoa Burger; perfectly balanced, while being light and nutritious at the same time and the Cod Burger; salted cod and potatoes with tomato, salad, parsley soy mayonnaise in a soft gluten free bun. All burgers are served with their signature Crisps and Dips.
Desserts are a lavish yet guilt-free affair with classics given the Soulgreen magic touch including The Crème Brûlée made with sweet vegetable milk and vanilla cream covered with crunchy caramelized sugar and raspberries. Mango Cheesecake, a signature made with cashew cream and covered with mango glaze and the decadent Chocolate Sphere, a dark chocolate ball filled with creamy choco-avocado mousse and cocoa sponge cake, ready to be melt under a warm black cherry coulis right at your table, are but a few of the perfect endings to the Soulgreen dining experience. As a licensed venue, Soulgreen goes beyond culinary excellence and showcases an impressive array of signature cocktails, grapes and hops best enjoyed on their expansive terrace while one is captivated by the stunning Dubai skyline across the harbour and the cocktails with a Low ABV including the Vino Spritz and the Sloe Me If You Can are staples from the Soul Drinks menu, alongside tea-infused gins such as Thyme after Time and Blue Eyed Boy ensuring a firm focus on flavour that is gratifying with every sip and perfectly balanced with the plant-based cuisine.
