Following the success of its Hessa St location, Unwind board game café has opened a second branch right across from Zabeel Park Dubai in Park Gate Residences. The main draw of the fun spot is that you can play hundreds of different board games but the food menu is great too with breakfast served all day as well as fast food favourites such as burgers and pizzas. They also have a menu of jazzy juices that you will want to share snaps of on your social media pages. Open daily, Park Gate Residences tower A, Za’abeel 1 (opposite Zabeel Park Dubai).

Mirdif Hills Avenue is now home to new patisserie Room 1618. In addition to offering cakes, croissants and desserts, Room 1618 had a breakfast menu with lots of delicious items including a scrambled egg croissant. There is also a bread bar where you can select bread, meats, cheeses and dips to delve into. Other highlights include flatbreads with an array of toppings, salads and sandwiches. China Bistro recently opened its newest branch on July 14 in Dubai Studio City. Head to the restaurant for menu of pan- Asian cuisine that includes much-loved favourites such as boa buns, bowls, dim sums and salads. Batchig on the fifth floor of Millennium Place Mirdif hotel will appeal to those who love to tuck into homestyle Armenian and Lebanese cooking. The Lebanese import has plenty to get stuck into for those who like to order several dishes to share. Named RSVP and found in Boxpark Dubai, expect generous portions of yummy food in a trendy setting from the team behind Marea and 11 Woodfire at RSVP. Don’t expect baskets of bread and towers of brie, the menu created by chef Aadel Ouaoua uses fresh produce to combine his favourite French cooking techniques with his love of classic Japanese cooking. Plates served up are filled with flavour and flair, this is one for those who like to add some joie de vivre to their dining plans. Will you be saying oui to a meal at RSVP?

We expect you’ll be shouting mamma mia as the venue is claiming to have the largest grape cellar in the city filled with premium Italian and international brands of grape. That is something to saluti to. Hot on the tails of Beefbar, another Monaco export has opened in Jumeriah Al Naseem’s stylish Turtle Lagoon. Injecting some fun into Dubai’s thriving dining-cum-nightlife scene, MayaBay offers traditional Asian cuisine with a contemporary twist. The interiors are dressed in deep, evocative colours and the menu features dishes like caviar dim sum, wok-fried lobster and MayaBay beef tartare – all overseen by head Shane Macneill.
