Max’s Restaurant, located on Mankhool Road in Karama, serves up favourites such as fried chicken served with rice or kamote fries (yummy sweet potato fries). The menu also boasts traditional dishes such as kare-kare (oxtail and tripe stew) and lumpiang ubod (crab meat sauteed with fresh coconut). Head there early on a Sunday as things get pretty busy.
