Pierchic, the multiple award-winning home of Dubai’s most exquisite epicurean adventure at Jumeriah Al Qasr, is underlining its commitment to ethically-sourced produce and environmental sustainability with a limited-edition set menu to celebrate World Oceans Day on Saturday, 8 June.
An annual global awareness initiative designed to remind international citizens of the vital biological role major oceans play in connecting life across the planet, World Oceans Day is especially relevant for Pierchic – an over-the-water dining destination with views of the Arabian Gulf, which practices ethical product sourcing.
Available for lunch and dinner from 4-8 June, the specially-curated World Oceans Day five-course set menu is founded on Pierchic’s ethos of only using ethically-sourced ingredients.
Dishes from the limited-edition menu include Dibba Bay oysters from the UAE’s only oyster farm on the country’s East coast; a duo of local Hamachi and salmon ceviche with sweet potato and leche de tigre; lobster and locally-produced ricotta ravioli; Dibba hammour with harissa, moutabal, koosa and lemon butter sauce; and butternut UAE ricotta cheesecake with pumpkin puree and pistachio ice cream. Priced at AED395 per person, an organic grape-pairing package is also available for an extra AED295 per head, bringing the full experience to AED690 per person. Advanced booking is compulsory.
For residents opting to enjoy an over-the-water brunch to celebrate World Oceans Day on 8 June, the recently launched sharing-style Ocean Vibe brunch will also be available to Dubai’s elite brunch crowd with an upmarket French party atmosphere complemented by a variety of organic seafood, meat and vegetable dishes. The Ocean Vibe brunch runs every Saturday from 12pm – 4pm with packages starting at AED 375 per person for tables of four guests or more. A refined beverage package is available for a further AED 200, which includes Pierchic’s premium and organic grape selection, bubbly and hops.
Pierchic prides itself on practicing a sustainable ethos and serving only ethically-sourced produce, extending the same philosophy to its list of sustainably-produced organic grape beverages. The restaurant, which enjoys an almost ethereal relationship with nature, floating above the azure waters of the Arabian Gulf, has taken a market-leading stance against superfluous single-use plastics, completely removing straws, swizzle sticks, cocktail sticks and stirrers, as well as electing to only serve mineral water in glass bottles.
