UAE’s favourite homegrown Mexican restaurant, Maiz Tacos launched a wallet friendly business lunch menu on weekdays from 12-3pm for 49AED. Bringing traditional recipes and flavours of Mexico to the UAE, the 2 course business lunch menu includes chips with salsa & guacamole, two tacos and a beverage.
Founded by entrepreneurs and taco lovers, Luma Makhlouf & Haider Al Assam, Maiz Tacos was born out of strong love and passion for food. Maiz Tacos is known for its deep-rooted ties to Mexican culture and traditions with an aim to create an authentic experience while serving the highest quality ingredients. Maiz Tacos officially launched in 2017 and started as a food truck before opening their first long-term pop-up location in Dar Al Wasl. The restaurateurs opened a permanent branch in Jumeirah Lake Towers district in September 2019.
Amigos can regale in a two-course set menu of authentic Mexican food with ingredients that are 100% preservative and hormone free! Before you tuck into mouth-watering tacos, savour the appetizing bites on the business lunch menu like the Chips with Salsa Roja, Salsa Verde and Gaucamole. Lovers of spice must opt for the red sauce Salsa Roja while the lighthearted can dig into the milder green sauce Salsa Verde. With a choice of seven tacos, guests can choose any two options from the menu making it delectable for every taste bud.
Meat lovers can indulge in the Pollo Asado or the El Jefe. Chunks of chicken mixed with Pico De Gallo, Jiltomates salsa, pickled onion and coriander, the Pollo Asado cooks exceptionally well, making the shredded chicken tacos a must try. El Jeffe on the other hand, is considered as the boss of all tacos. Slow cooked for six hours, the aromatic smell of the thinly sliced beef slices is guaranteed to melt in your mouth.
Seafood lovers can choose between the El Dorado, a marinated white battered fish with mixed bell peppers, red onions and dill-chipotle mayo or the Camarones, marinated grilled shrimp taco topped with fresh mango salsa and mint leaves. Vegans have a range of taco choices like the Calabaza, a roasted chipotle pumpkin with lettuce, pico de gallo salsa and roasted cashew nuts with mixed cabbage and garlic mayo. Or opt for La Tierra, a roasted cauliflower with sweet potato, guacamole and cashew arbol salsa.
