Jones The Grocer’s Unveils A New Mouth-Watering Menu

Jones the Grocer, the popular food emporium, unveils a new breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu with a mouthwatering all-star cast at all its stores. There’s also a ravishing drinks makeover that will make a red-carpet splash across all its licensed and unlicensed locations.

On the launch of this new menu, director of operations, Peter Green, said:

this development has been a labour of love for 12 months, testing our mettle with the global lockdown and a time of uncertainty. But the outcome is a firm and flavourful nod to the melting pot spirit of Australia. Frankly speaking, we’ve cooked up some really epic food and drink with over 25 new dishes and as many drinks and crafted cocktails.

Of course, breakfast at Jones the Grocer serves up humble scrambled eggs, a classic benny and all the post workout favourites. But there’s nothing quite as punchy as the Turkish-style Cilbireggs (pictured left) with sweet paprika butter, whipped spicy herbed yoghurt, pesto and feta on a house baked flatbread.

Tank into an Egg in the Hole, a cheesy twist on the traditional breakfast bagel with bacon.

Because the folks at Jones the Grocer listen to their customers, the Bombay Chilliis back! This odeto atypically‘Mumbaiker’chilli cheese toast has had a sizzling makeover in its repeat appearance. Glorious Granola: a toasty housemade warm maple granola with caramelised peaches and coconut yogurt is certain to add a crispy crunch to a perfect morning.

New main dishes are easily acquainted with, they’re honest, delicious and faithful to Jones the Grocer’s, now 25year old motto, of Gourmet Food for Everyday Living. Sharing couldn’t be better with a fantastic selection of sharing boards such as the Big Easy(pictured above) which combines salsa verde drizzled on a grilled Aussie striploin, crispy chicken sliders, chorizo croquettes, nori dusted kettle chips and marinated feta and olives. Could bites and drinks with friends get any better?

Are you a hopeless ramentic? The Miso Glazed Steak and Udon Noodles (pictured right)with a ramen steeped egg, baby bokchoy, chilli, mushrooms and radishes are a protein powered joy that sing in its bowl.

The Togarashi Chicken Toastie with aged cheddar and wasabi mayo is also back; the Jones team heeding to this repeatedly requested superhit from their 2020 toastie menu.

There are two welcome vegan entrants with a Woollahra and Beyond burger featuring a Beyond Meat® vegan patty, vegan cheese, topped with balsamic onions, roasted portobello, onion rings, bostonlettuce in a house baked bun alongside spiced sweet potato wedges and a home-made tomato sauce.

Next up is the Curried Cauliflower Vegan Wrap(pictured right)with red pepper humus, avo, dill and lemon dressing which is a seriously good and surprisingly moreish light bite for anyone and everyone.

The Soft-Shell Crab Sliders are unmissable – crispy tempura soft-shell crab paired with mango salsa, togarashi, smoked paprika, sriracha and lime mayo. And for those craving more dishes from the deep blue sea, King ofthe Catch (pictured below)is a plate full of lovely citrus grilled king prawns with pineapple chilli salsa and saffron yogurt.

How could one possibly go wrong? With many more honestly cooked accessible dishes, featuring hand selected premium ingredients the nearest Jones the Grocer is perhaps the best and only place to unwind, dine and shop for quality gourmet ingredients.

Well known for its inhouse artisan patisserie and bakery with favourites such as its nationally famous carrot cake, the Jones the Grocer pastry team have been beavering away on their pastry and baked desserts. The decadentBasque Burnt Cheesecake(pictured left) is rich and caramelly with a lingering after-note of creamy vanilla and toffee.

Working closely with the chocolatier, Valrhona, the Jones team have also added a stunning Passion Fruit Eclair and a Pistachio Éclair (pictured right)to their veritable Valrhona Chocolate Eclair.

Jones the Grocer will also be retailing the Valrhona Couverture range used in the making of their pastries for home baking enthusiasts. Yes! There’s more – a Saffron Milk Cake, an Almond and Orange Slice(both pictured top left) and a Warm Triple Chocolate Brownie.

There’s now a whole new meaning to handcrafted cocktails. From a Jones Espresso Martini (pictured right) with a barista pour of their famous ESP coffee, a Dirty Martini with Jones basil oil or a London Mule with Jones organic ginger beer; these are drinks to refresh and whisk you away on an adventure.

For those looking for a drink without a  bite, thezer0% cocktail menu is both uplifting and refreshing. Zak Jones is a refreshing soda with sweet violet bitters, lime and mint.The Pear and Hibiscus Breeze is a bright and breezy, and the Mai Tai, an English breakfast tea tonic with green apple juice and a burst of citrus.
