International Coffee Day is brewing, a day to celebrate the drink that gets us up in the morning and through the day. International Coffee Day aims to promote fair trade and the plight of the coffee grower. Encounter roasters coffee exemplifies specialty coffee and the UAE’s coffee culture.
Encounter provides third wave coffee, through increasing quality, placing a huge emphasis on sustainability and innovative brewing methods. It also takes out the middleman or the supply chain through direct trade from the farm and so each coffee’s story is known.
Today we’d like to celebrate the Brazil Andre Garcia. The Andrade Family is one of the oldest coffee-producing families in the highlands of Cerrado Mineiro region, in the Southeast state of Brazil. The Capim Branco Farm has deeds dating back to 1901. Nowadays, following the footsteps of their ancestors, the new generation of Andrade family, brothers Ismael and Eduardo are the owners, producing coffee with passion and respect for the environment and people for over a century.
The farm and its Terroir are situated in an altitude ranging between 1100 – 1220 meters, with perfectly balanced wet and dry seasons. Brazil Andre Garcia delivers a coffee with all the striking features of the Cerrado Mineiro region. A much-appreciated coffee for espresso extractions, chocolate aromas and a hint of peanuts.
You can enjoy the Brazil Andre Garcia or learn about the other specialty coffees brewed in Encounter Roaster café in ICD Brookefield Place, Tom & Serg, Common Grounds and The Sum of Us.
