COYA Dubai Celebrates World Ceviche Day By Diving Into Traditional Delights

COYA Dubai is excited to announce its special celebration of World Ceviche Day, marked by offering an exclusive ceviche platter. This event honours the rich history and cultural significance of ceviche, a dish recently added to UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list.

Ceviche, with its origins deeply rooted in the coastal regions of Peru, offers a taste that tells a story of tradition and innovation. This beloved dish encapsulates the blend of indigenous and foreign influences, shaped by waves of colonisation and the diverse Peruvian landscapes. The result is a culinary marvel that highlights fresh fish, aromatic herbs, and the unmistakable tang of citrus.

From June 28 to July 6, guests can indulge in the complex flavours of ceviche with a specially curated platter priced at AED 278. The platter features an assortment of ceviche such as Lubina Clásica, a traditional blend of sea bass with red onions, sweet potato, and choclo; Atún Chifa, which combines the richness of yellowfin tuna with the crunch of rice crackers and a hint of soy; Pargo a la Trufa, an sophisticated preparation of red snapper enhanced with truffle and ponzu, accented with chives. Adding a fresh twist, Sandia includes heirloom watermelon paired with tamarillo tiger and candied pumpkin seeds. The Salmon dish merges the delicate flavours of salmon with yuzu truffle tiger, complemented by crispy seaweed, pickled apple, and rice crackers. Completing the selection, Pez Limon offers a delightful mix of yellowtail with bonito, creamy avocado, tangy tomatillo, ikura, and crisp courgette.

Each dish on the platter brings the intricate flavours and craftsmanship that define Peruvian cuisine together, offering a taste experience as unique as it is delicious. Guests can visit COYA Dubai this Ceviche Day to explore the rich tapestry of flavours that this Peruvian speciality offers and celebrate a dish that is truly woven into the fabric of Peruvian culture.
