With a tradition of wholesome and sustainable dishes, Tom Arnel and the team at Bull&Roo are proud to present an on-trend vegan menu during this Ramadan at Common Grounds. In addition to healthy menu selections the homegrown restaurant is known across the city for, throughout the holy month, Common Grounds is collaborating with One Good Thing exclusively at their Mall of the Emirates location.
This Ramadan, the chefs at Common Grounds have recreated traditional dishes with a vegan twist, offering guests to break their fast in a healthful manner. In the spirit of the season, the menu items are priced in an affordable Dhs40-55 range and are perfect for sharing. For groups dining together, the special Iftar menu features all vegan dishes, however, there are still non-vegan options available.
With tempting and socially conscious selections, all guests will be impressed with the elevated tastes, vibrant colors, and pleasing textures across the vegan menu. For fans of savory dishes, Common Grounds offers the incredibly moreish Grilled Cheese Sandwich (made with vegan Mozzarella), the tahini-tastic Miso Roast Eggplant, and the filling Black Bean and Sesame Burger. The chefs also have creative preparations for plates which usually contain common proteins. For example, who says sushi rolls have to include fish? The Rainbow Sushi Roll is composed of tamari and togarashi marinated watermelon, sticky rice, avocado, and other healthy components. Similarly, the Boneless Buffalo Wings are made with barbeque cauliflower and served up with ranch dip. Local foodies might want to sample the Vegan Omelet (cleverly created with portobello mushroom), the Tempura ‘Fish’ Tacos (which contain tempura palm hearts and lentil tacos) or the completely vegan Poke Bowl, made with roasted beetroot and smashed avocado, among other delicious ingredients. Those with a sweet tooth will be happy to finish the meal a choice of vegan desserts, including Chocolate Cheesecake and Coconut Ice Cream.
In keeping with their focus on sustainable approaches, Bull&Roo have been working with the Emirates Bio Farm to integrate quality organic ingredients across their menus.
Outside of these delicious dishes, there will also be a pop-up shop in collaboration with One Good Thing. This recognizable store specializes in supplying sustainable gifts, many made from recycled materials. The team at One Good Thing will be showcasing their products at Common Grounds for the duration of Ramadan.
If searching for a well-designed menu with a sustainable approach, and one that focuses on delivering an elevated restaurant experience and with the convenience of a mall location, look no further than the friendly team at Common Grounds during Ramadan and beyond.
