This summer, the cosy yet chic Le Petit Beefbar in DIFC will be live broadcasting The European Football Cup at its restaurant. With the tournament taking place for one month from June 14th to July 14th, Le Petit Beefbar is happy to host football fans looking for a vibrant venue to watch the games.

Getting into the spirit of the sport, Le Petit Beefbar will be serving signature cocktails and its new house draft hops for AED 39 during Happy Hour from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Happy Day menu features house grapes by the glass available at AED 39 with bites including the Stracciatella Tartine and Black Angus & Relais Sauce Skewers for AED 35 and AED 45 respectively. After 8:00 pm, the draft hops and selection of cocktails are then priced at AED 49 for guests staying on to watch the games until late. Chef Kelvin Cheung Introduces New Desserts To The Jun’s Menu And Celebrates The Second Anniversary With A”Two Sweet” Sharing Platter

Jun’s, Dubai’s multi-award-winning restaurant in the heart of Downtown, has launched an all-new dessert menu with creative flavours and a unique set of storytelling. The destination restaurant, which ranked Number 21 in the MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants earlier this year, brings new flavour combinations and pioneering concepts to the region.

Operating without borders, the highly sought-after restaurant takes guests on a culinary journey through Cheung’s rich history of travelling the world and cooking in kitchens in unfamiliar places. Showcasing his renowned creativity and flair, Cheung’sdessert and cake menus feature a wide range of ingredients that will impress even the most discerning gastronomes. Creating an inclusive dining experience for guests, the new desserts are predominantly gluten-free, with a vegan option to cater to a range of dietary preferences.

Noticing a gap in the market for pies and wanting to add yet another original dish to his incredible portfolio, Cheung crafted the Coconut Ube Pie, a dessert which uses Filipino flavours and ingredients in honour of the hardworking team at Jun’s. “I believe that they are the backbone of the UAE’s service industry and their cuisine is, unfortunately, under-represented. This highlights their culture and encourages the team to experiment with familiar flavours to create dishes themselves” comments Cheung.

Another new addition to the menu is the Table Side Pista-Matcha-Misu, a unique version of the classic Tiramisu dessert which uses freshly baked Japanese Rice Cookies dipped in Cold Brew instead of traditional Ladyfingers. Topping the dessert is Matcha Cremeux, a crumble made from Puffed Rice, Matcha Pistachio, and Burnt Milk Crumb, all complete with classic Mascarpone Sabionge which is folded with fresh Pistachio. The dessert is prepared tableside while Cheung and his team delve into the story behind the dish, creating an immersive experience for the guests. Building upon their sustainability and food waste practices, the team uses all Pistachio waste to create a cracker that tops the dessert.

While other dishes on the dessert menu include Mango Panna Cotta, Boba Creme Brulee, Baked Alaska, and Apple Tart, the famous Kelvin Cakes are also a signature staple to the restaurant. Inspired by Cheung’s Chinese heritage and North American upbringing, the extravagant cakes pay homage to the traditional sugar sponge cake. The breathtaking flavours include Carrot, Mango, Hong, Mallow, Bai, Peanut, Coffee, Ube, Pina Colada, Cookie, Pistachio, and Strawberry. With a recent enhancement, the Carrot Kelvin Cake is a lighter, fluffier, and spicier version of a traditional Carrot Cake which is inspired by the Jun’s best-selling Rainbow Heirloom Carrot dish.

Marking the second anniversary of Jun’s and in collaboration with the new dessert menu, guests can now celebrate with a delectable “Two Sweet” sharing platter, comprising seven of the most favourite desserts at Jun’sover the past two years. Turning two on June 12th, the platter is available now until Sunday, June 16th and includes Coconut Ube Pie, Mango Panna Cotta, Boba Crème Brulee, Basque Cheesecake with Strawberry, Baked Alaska, Baked-to-order Maldon Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Housemade Gummy Bears.

Hakkasan’s Executive Chef Andy Toh Unveils New Cantonese Journey Menu Celebrating Seasonal And Sustainable Ingredients This Summer

During the month of June, the award-winning Hakkasan Dubai is expanding its exquisite offerings with a new Cantonese Journey menu from Executive Chef Andy Toh, priced at AED 488 per person. Filled with rich flavours and seasonal products, the menu is a culinary tribute to the summer season, with a nod to sustainable and local ingredients.

Renowned for its fusion of traditional Cantonese cuisine with a contemporary flair, each dish has been thoughtfully crafted taking all steps into consideration. Starters begin with a double-boil chrysanthemum chicken soup, with chicken locally sourced from Al Ain farm. This is followed by a roasted sesame chicken roll featuring fresh mangoes in season from India, with the bones from the chicken in this dish used to make the soup for the first starter. Guests can then tuck into poached Shanghai dumplings with crab meat and prawn sourced from the UAE.

The mains feature an MSC certified grilled Chilean seabass with a traditional Cantonese king soy glaze, a wok-sear locally sourced tiger prawn with Chef Andy’s special XO sauce inspired by his mother’s recipe, and a stir-fry lamb loin served with seasonal white asparagus, heirloom carrots and a spicy garlic sauce. The sides also utilise ingredients from other dishes with the Chilean seabass bones creating a stock base to cook the stewed pak choi and mushroom enoki, served alongside a fried trio of organic wild rice. The menu ends on a sweet note with a dessert featuring Yunnan tea and seasonal peach from Japan.

In alignment with the upcoming Sustainable Gastronomy Day on 18th June, the Cantonese Journey menu underscores the importance of sustainable food items and designing menus with this in mind. Diners are invited to join in celebrating this global observance by indulging in dishes that are as good for the planet as they are for the taste buds.

Chef Andy Toh has worked with Tao Group Hospitality for 13 years. He was promoted as Executive Chef Middle East in 2016 and most recently achieved the status of Corporate Chef of Hakkasan, Tao Group Hospitality in February 2024. Celebrated for his use of traditional techniques with contemporary results, Chef Andy’s food celebrates the very best ingredients to highlight Hakkasan’s authentic yet modern philosophy.

Priced at AED 488 per person, the new Cantonese Journey menu is available from Saturday 1st June until Sunday 30th June from 6:00pm to 11:00pm. Guests are invited to try the latest menu in a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere before Hakkasan temporarily closes for the month of July. The restaurant will reopen on Thursday, 1st August and will be taking provisional reservations from Wednesday, 31st July onwards.

Dubai’s celebrated pool and beach club, Nobu by the Beach at Atlantis The Royal, has introduced an array of 20 new dishes to its poolside and ocean front restaurant offerings. Blending modern cool luxury and minimalistic Japanese traditions into a one-of-a-kind pool and beach club experience, Nobu by the Beach is the city’s most stylish location to see and be seen.

Inspired by Nobu’s universally beloved Japanese Peruvian cuisine with a bitesize twist, the menu at Nobu by the Beach focuses on sharing and lighter bites. Guests can enjoy sweeping views of the Palm Island and Dubai skyline, while savouring tacos such as tuna karashi sesame and lobster coriander shiso. Indulgent options such as black cod croquettes and lightly seared chutoro sashimi served with fresh mustard leaf mizuna dressing with caviar promise a memorable dining experience.

For mains, diners can choose from an exciting selection of new options, including mouth-watering Inaniwa noodles and a variety of ceviche dishes like spicy tuna with Spanish piquillo pepper, lobster pineapple shiso, and scallop corn. Meanwhile, other enticing choices include softshell crab kalamansi amasu, roasted cauliflower jalapeno, octopus mango shiso salsa, lamb tsukune, yellowtail caviar cut rolls, Unagi Kinome Monaka and seafood chirashi.

Those with a sweet tooth can indulge in exclusive desserts like tiramisu topped with aromatic Asian tonka jelly and kinako as well as crispy fried churros served with miso lime and morish chocolate sauce, providing a refreshing end to the meal.

To complement the culinary offering, the curated cocktail programme at Nobu by the Beach is quite unlike any other beach and pool club in Dubai. Designed to break away and reinvent the traditional, innovative techniques, styles of serve, and most importantly, balanced flavours combine with traditional Japanese and Peruvian ingredients to create refreshing and easy to drink cocktails, with the same care for flavours that you would expect from a high-end bar, or from the Nobu cuisine.

The MICHELIN Guide Dubai proudly announces the return of the 3rd edition of the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony Dubai, following its success last year.

The MICHELIN Guide Ceremony will take place on Thursday 4 July in Dubai, a colourful destination of diverse culinary experiences. This prestigious gathering in the world of gastronomy will once again bring together the culinary elite, industry professionals, and food enthusiasts to celebrate the exceptional dining scene in this dynamic city at the recently opened One&Only One Za’abeel.

Destination partner Dubai is a leading culinary capital offering a wide variety of cuisines that reflect the tastes of nearly 200 nationalities who live in the emirate. The second edition of the MICHELIN Guide Dubai, released in 2023, featured 90 restaurants, up from 69 in the previous edition. This included three restaurants awarded two MICHELIN Stars, 11 with one MICHELIN Star, three with a Green Star, 17 Bib Gourmand establishments, and 59 MICHELIN Selected restaurants.

Observatory Bar & Grill Announces Temporary Renovation Closure Throughout The Summer

Observatory Bar & Grill, located on the 52nd floor of Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites known for its panoramic views has announced a temporary closure from June 7th to September 15th, as the restaurant prepares to undergo a large-scale renovation to enhance its interiors.

The newly renovated space will consist of two venues – Observatory Bar & Lounge and Prime52.

Observatory Bar & Lounge will offer Asian-fusion cuisine featuring extraordinary dishes, beverages, contemporary styling and seating, as well as live entertainment with stunning views of Palm Jumeirah.

The new addition, Prime52 will be an upscale steakhouse offering a classic menu, bespoke beverage offerings, open kitchen and panoramic views of Dubai Marina.

Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites looks forward to welcoming guests back in mid-September to enjoy the newly renovated space at Observatory Bar & Grill and Prime52.
