Scheduled for May 27th and 28th at the prestigious Smoked Room located in St. Regis Gardens at The Palm Jumeirah, this event promises to be a symphony of elemental contrasts and gastronomic innovation.
The dinner series, themed “Where Fire Meets Water,” explores the dynamic interplay between two opposing yet complementary forces. This culinary encounter is not just about food; it is a narrative journey that marries the intense, smoky flavours of the earth with the subtle, ethereal tastes of water. By combining the distinct culinary philosophies of fire-infused techniques and water-inspired creations, the event aims to evoke deep emotions, ranging from mystery and suspense to excitement and awe. The result is expected to be a powerful and dramatic dining experience that tells a story as captivating as the dishes themselves, hosted by no other than two of the world’s most renowned chefs, at the exclusive and intimate setting of Smoked Room.
Chef Dani García, known for his creative flair and command of Andalusian cuisine, will personify the element of Fire. At Smoked Room in Madrid, which quickly earned two Michelin stars, García’s innovative use of smoke and embers transforms ingredients into dishes that are not only flavorful but also visually spectacular, providing a feast for the senses.
Chef Grégoire Berger, who is at the helm of one Michelin-starred Ossiano at Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai, will offer a deep dive into the essence of Water during the culinary collaboration. Paying homage to the riches of the ocean and coastal land, Berger will craft dishes that tell the story of his travels around the world, guided by his lifelong respect for seasonality, terroir and sea foraging.
