blu matcha, a homegrown, Gen Z and healthy lifestyle café concept is taking Dubai by storm, providing high-quality Japanese matcha beverages and products for all. Robby Ceriale (CEO) and Ashley Worthington (Operations Director), both spotted an opportunity in the market for a devoted matcha concept. The two F&B experts from the Zuma Group turned entrepreneurs have made matcha cool again, catering to true lovers from locals to expats, as well as those that never experienced it before.

Temporarily located on La Mer, this freestyle café is the perfect spot for a refreshing break with friends or to relax and unwind on the comfortable sun lounger, soaking in some rays while sipping down their signature vanilla almond latte. An interesting fact, they have three types of different matcha grades all coming directly from Japan, blu matcha adapts each grade to the beverage they are creating. The almond milk that makes the ideal blend is homemade and churned to perfection by the CEO of blu matcha himself, Robby Ceriale. It’s not just the beverage products that are drawing people in, the venue also offers a variety of light and healthy snacks like acai bowls with peanut butter, topped with matcha – a craving you never knew you were missing – matcha ice cream, sandwiches, salads and much more.

Premium quality with ease, blu matcha is bright, colourful, Instagram-chic and fun. Blu matcha differentiates itself in the market through its high-quality, fashion-focused sensibilities and mobility. They bring the experience to their clients for special occasions, corporate events or even to have a matcha day at the office. Offering a laid-back vibe for the whole of La Mer Beach, the brand plans to expand its offering far beyond Jumeirah.

By collaborating with HyperSpace Dubai, blu matcha will establish a full store in House of Hype in Dubai Mall as well as an ice cream cart in Aya in Wafi Mall, giving the industry a matcha-needed new café destination with a funky, futuristic vibe. Additionally, blu matcha has recently signed off on an exciting opening of a store located in the Galleria Mall. Reaching beyond the borders, the brand is also in the final qualifying stages of an Abu Dhabi F&B start-up incubator competition, the Aldar Manassah 3.0 Program – with the hopes of launching its concept in early 2023.

Life and much more. The brand’s ambition is to educate customers and tap into a new target audience of influential millennials. The company is creating a culture around their products by hosting events with young and vibey brands and spreading awareness of the health benefits associated with matcha tea.
