The stylish Bistro Chic by La Serre, which boasts stunning views of the Burj Khalifa and Emaar Boulevard, is inviting diners to embark on a journey of classic French flavours matched with the finest wines from France with its new Degustation menu launching 9th May 2021. Created by Chef Karl Kollmitzer, La Serre’s Executive Chef, the menu features five unique courses each paired with a premium wine to complement the flavours.
The concept which takes inspiration from the iconic Michelin Starred restaurants from around the world, is priced at AED 395 per person, with the wine pairing option at AED 895 per person, the exquisite evening is set to bring diners the feeling of deja-vu and take them on a culinary journey of the senses.
It true traditional French style, the evening will be unveiled with an Amuse Bouche, matched perfectly with a prestige Italian bubble from the famous sparkling wine Ca’ del Bosco Cuvee Prestige, NV Franciacorta. Once diners are settled, Chef Karl will present the first course, the 62 Degree Organic Egg on Puy Lentil Stew and Truffle Sabayon, which will simply melts in one’s mouth. The first course is coupled with a Sauvion, Les Fondettes Sancerre, from the upper Loire Valley.
The second course is the halibut, which is butter basted and sits with a Coco Bean Ragout and San Marzano Tomato Jus, this course is set to take diners to the South of France as they sip on a glass of Chateau de l’Aumerade Cuvée Marie Christine, one of the finest Rosés from Côtes de Provence.
A sorbet to cleanse the pallet will be served before the main event, which is the showstopping Veal Tenderloin served with Turned Root Vegetable and Dauphinoise Potato and Truffle Jus. This flavoursome dish is perfectly paired with a glass of Brouilly Beaujolais from the George Deboeuf vineyards in Burgundy.
Before the evening comes to a close with its delectable desert, guests will be served an aperitif La Citron featuring Dolin Vermouth and Orange Oil. Rounding the evening off with a French flair, diners will enjoy a selection of Petite Four.
Chef Karl Kollmitzer has been at the helm of Bistro Chic for the past two years having previously worked with the Gordon Ramsay Group. Trained in classic French cuisine, this Degustation menu is inspired by Karl’s love of quality ingredients and French cooking techniques. Each dish is matched perfectly with wine, and creates a multi sensory dining experience that is completely unique in the GCC.
