Since the news dropped that yet another surprise gig was coming to Barasti, rumours and gossips have been spreading like wildfire in Dubai.
With the only clue being that an “American hip-hop trio who has collaborated with the likes of Snoop Dogg” was en-route to Dubai – guesses ranged from Black Eyed Peas to OutKast and even Hanson!
However, we’ve got good news for all of those hip-hop lovers out there – Barasti has decided to reveal the name of the surprise act who have already touched down in the UAE and are ready to impress the crowds at Barasti this evening for an extra special Independence Day celebration.
Posdnuos, Trugoy and Maseo, the famed members of De La Soul who and are renowned for bringing next-level energy and charisma to their performances will be taking the stage at an unannounced time this evening at Barasti’s House of Whatever.
Formed in 1987 in Long Island, New York – the trio are best known for their eclectic sampling, quirky lyrics, and their contribution to the evolution of the jazz rap and alternative hip hop subgenres. Their debut album, 3 Feet High and Rising was one of the most influential albums in hip-hop history and they’ve collaborated with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Little Dragon, 2 Chainz and Damon Albarn – meaning this is certainly one performance not to be missed!
There will be a range of insane competitions, competitive drinks deals and some epic prizes up for grabs from 8PM, however, the famous beach bar suggests guests arrive early to secure their spot front row.
