Asma Offers Middle Eastern Cuisine With A Contemporary Flair

Asma is a Middle Eastern restaurant serving an eclectic mix of some of the greatest dishes this region has to offer, with a contemporary twist. Located in The Dubai Mall, Asma’s modern take on traditional Arabic dishes will have guests taste buds taken on a culinary journey with the dishes which are designed for sharing.

Asma was born when three Emirati sisters were inspired to create an elegant eatery named after their mother and foodie hero – Asma. The restaurant is located in the Dubai Mall on the first floor next to the Ice rink and boasts a contemporary and cozy interior. The pale pink and white furnishings, marble and wooden table settings, and pretty pendant chandeliers with homely green plants make diners feel instantly relaxed in the venue.

The menu at Asma brings a unique dining experience influenced by the flavours of the Middle East presented in contemporary way. Asma uses only the highest quality and freshest ingredients to bring the rich flavours of Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Egypt and Syria to food lovers table. The menu at Asma is designed to encourage diners to try and share all dishes and to make the most of the smells and flavours of the Middle East.

Start your culinary journey at Asma with options including the Spiced Potato; served a mildly spicy tomato sauce and aioli, Chicken Liver with sweet and sour pomegranate molasses and tahini, Crispy Corn or  Honey Halloumi; an unlikely pairing that will leave guests wanting more. For those who try the dips they will be treated to the likes of Labneh and Zataar, Hummus and Beetroot and Labneh, all of which is served with Asma’s signature homemade Al Quds bread and Tandoor Lafa.

For the mains, diners can look forward to dishes such as the Beef Skewer; the tender beef is marinated and served with tahini and a pickled onion salad, or guests can opt for the Chicken Freekeh, served with freekeh and a charcoaled mushroom sauce. There are also a selection of seafood options including the Green Prawns, which is served with Asma’s signature herbed sauce and white rice. For those who want to opt for a street food style of eating at Asma has a range of options including Kushari, Falafel and Shawarma, diners can enjoy the vibrant flavours of the streets from the comfort of the restaurant.

To end things on a sweet note, diners are encouraged to try the creamy Muhallabia milk pudding for a modern take on an old classic. Or opt for the Umm Ali; a vanilla flavored milk mixed to puff pastry and topped with nuts.

Vegetarians have a wide range of options also. The menu has a specific “Go Green” section with delicious salads including Tabbouleh, Date salad, Watermelon salad and Flower of the Cauliflower so no vegetarians will leave feeling unsatisfied.

Asma is open daily from 10am to 1am daily, with breakfast being served Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays.For those who can’t make it out the house because they are social distancing, Asma offers a home delivery service; “Asma at home” which offers foodies the option to order some of their favourites dishes from the menu and have them delivered straight to your doorstep. With a focus on bringing together the old and the new, Asma’s dishes play testament to the memories of home-cooked meals the Emirati sisters experienced during their childhoods, which they are now bringing to locals and expats alike at Asma.
