And JLT Makes Three, Common Grounds Launches New Outlet

Fans of one of Dubai’s leading homegrown restaurants, Common Grounds, won’t have to wait long to visit their favourite local cafe in a bustling new location.  The creators, owners and operators of the Common Grounds brand, Bull&Roo, are proud to open the third venue of the popular outlet located at DMCC’s Almas Tower in Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT).  To help celebrate the launch, the team at Common Grounds are offering a free signature dish breakfast and specialty coffee at the newest location during the weekend of April 26th and 27th from 9am to 12noon.

In line with robust growth plans for the popular Dubai concept, with the already established Mall of the Emirates location, along with the recently launched DIFC venue, the team at Common Grounds are delighted to bring their vibrant, fresh and contemporary menu to another community in the city.  Supporters of the brand can expect a range of their signature dishes, as well as a few new editions at the new location, open 7 AM to 6 PM daily.  From one of the city’s best Acai bowls to the Aussie classic of smashed avocado toast for breakfast; premium burgers to vibrant salads for lunch, there are plenty of dishes to tempt both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.

The design of the Common Grounds outlets is bright, light and elegant, with flexible seating, and tempting pastries on display, the Almas Tower location includes an open concept kitchen, with seating perfect for meetings, as a workspace, or for catching up with friends.  Hungry foodies can continue to expect highly creative, fresh, and vibrant dishes that founder Tom Arnel has become famous for.  Connoisseurs of coffee will remain impressed with the signature caffeinated options on offer and can enjoy single origins from Bull&Roo’s own Encounter Coffee Roastery.

As with the other Common Grounds locations, the team has a core of seasoned pros from Australia which includes Bull&Roo Operations Manager Matt Connell along with the support of fellow Australians Head Chef Liam Hamling and Restaurant Manager Taylor Kelly.

Tom Arnel, Bull&Roo co-founder and Managing Director, said; “Opening Common Grounds in JLT is another huge step forward for us.  We now have three beautiful Common Ground stores covering major parts of the city — DIFC, MOE and now JLT.  It has been a great honour working with the team at Almas Tower and the award-winning community, DMCC, to make this happen. We are really excited about the future of Common Grounds.”  Arnel adds, “No matter the location, our food program is always focused on quality ingredients with fresh takes on classic dishes, so I think the appeal lends itself to the casual diner.”

The decision to open at JLT was an inclusive one, and a specific attempt to connect with loyal fans of the brand in a new section of the city.  In a tight-knit foodie community like JLT, Common Grounds looks forward to welcoming longtime supporters of the brand and new fans of the award-winning cafe.  Whether for a cup of locally brewed coffee, or something more substantial, the doors of Common Grounds are always open to its neighbours.
