The Queen Elizabeth 2 has relaunched its royal restaurant as a modern British bistro, after an extensive renovation and the addition of a sophisticated lounge, a private dining room and two outdoor terraces offering views of the ocean and of Dubai’s skyline.
THE QUEENS GRILL RESTAURANT
Once the most famous restaurant at sea, the Queens Grill is now a British bistro occupying the former first-class dining quarters of the QE2.
The newly refurbished interiors of the Queens Grill feature brown and white chequered marble flooring with dark wood paneled walls, offset by circular tables and comfortable sofas and chairs. The theme runs throughout the venue and into the private dining room and the bar area. The décor has subtly transformed the Queens Grill’s antique interiors into a stylish venue that boasts the ambiance and vibrancy of Dubai’s cosmopolitan culinary scene.
Located on the Boat Deck, Passengers will now enter the restaurant via exclusive elevators and a dedicated arrival lounge and have the option of dining inside or outside on the terrace.
The brand-new menu showcases the best of British delicacies with an infusion of modern gastronomy. Signature starters include Smoked Haddock and Scottish haggis pâté and Wagyu Crudo, whilst the main course selection features Salmon Wellington, Cod & Chips, Gourmet Duck Burger and Beef Short Rib. The dessert options include Classic Treacle Tart and Rhubarb and Custard Crème Brulee.
The Queens Grill will open for dinner from 7pm – 11pm from Monday to Saturday. A three-course meal for two starts from AED 185.
QUEENS GRILL LOUNGE
Elegant, modern and adorned with a new era of QE2 elegance, the former officers’ quarter has been restored to present a sophisticated lounge, adjacent to the Queens Grill restaurant.
Take a seat on plush multi fabric sofas that line the white paneled walls or on the emerald velvet chairs perched at the marble bar. Admire the stunning mural that frames the bar – perfectly reflecting the earthy interior features of the venue.
Enjoy an expertly concocted sundowner whilst peering out to the busy ship harbour beyond, or sip on a connoisseur’s selection of evening beverages pre or post dinner in the Queens Grill Restaurant. On selected nights, savour the sounds of live acoustics played from the lounge’s central stage.
The Queens Grill will open for dinner from 6.30pm – 11pm from Monday to Saturday.
