New Year, New Dishes At Matto

Matto, an unordinary Italian restaurant at The Oberoi in Business Bay, has rolled out 19 new dishes in 2020.

Why not 20 new dishes in 2020? Well, that would be too ordinary for Matto.

What’s on the menu?

Three new ways to start a meal – Caprese salad with buffalo cheese (caprese con bufala), grilled calamari with a Mediterranean dressing (calamari alla piastra), and ricotta and spinach crepe (crespoli agli spinaci).

Bowled over – Matto has added two new salads to its menu. Guests can now order a goat’s cheese and green apple salad (insalata con caprino) and the vegan-friendly quinoa and kale salad with mango and a raspberry dressing.

Put it on toast – With two new bruschettes, guests can sink their teeth into fresh burrata and homemade pesto (bruschette alla burrata) and smoked salmon and avocado with a Caesar dressing (bruschette alla salmone).

A slice of the action – Matto has added three new pizzas to its extensive menu. Choose from the turkey mushroom cheese pizza, six-cheese pizza (loaded with mozzarella, parmesan, goat’s cheese, provolone, pecorino, and gorgonzola), the super buffalina pizza (topped with mozzarella, grilled zucchini, olives, buffalo cheese, and pecorino cheese).

Surf and turf – Celebrate the main event with two new dishes. An Italian roast dinner with wet aged Australian ribeye beef and baked potatoes (entrecote di manzo) and zucchini-stuffed grilled sea bass (spigola alla zucchini).

Nonna’s pasta – Pasta lovers can choose from three new dishes – seafood linguine (linguine de mare), shrimp and porcini mushroom paccheri (paccheri porcini con gamberi), porcini and truffle ravioli (ravioli porcini e tartufo), and lemon and shrimp risotto (risotto al limone con gamberi).

On the side – Tantalize your taste buds with salmon tartare (tartare di salmone) and oven-baked potato (patate e forno).

Matto – a taste of Mediterranean madness

A homegrown brand, crafted by Italians, Matto is the creative brainchild of the minds behind the award-winning Iris and Indie DIFC. Matto – the Italian word for “crazy” – dares to be different, and takes a stand against normality.
