99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant hosts a New Year’s Eve party that will highlight the allure of an immersive fine dining experience. As the evening unfolds, guests will also enjoy live entertainment, free-flowing premium beverages and an epic countdown with a front row seat to the fireworks on Al Maryah Island.
Chefs at the Japanese haute cuisine restaurant will be dishing up all sorts of culinary delights, many of which can be found on the menu at the Michelin-star flagship restaurant, 99 KŌ Sushi Bar in Madrid.
Priced at AED 999, the special menu is designed to create an unforgettable dinner through an impressive line-up of 14 courses, including signature dishes served at the award-winning venue.
The New Year’s Eve feast kicks off with starters like hosomaki, kobe edamame, oysters and tataki all followed by a sashimi tasting platter.
Favourites on the a la carte menu also make an appearance on the night, including the spicy tuna tartar, tiger prawn tempura and lobster maki. It isn’t a meal at 99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant if it doesn’t include the much-loved toro flambé and grilled foie nigiri. Adding to these delights is a round of the top gunkan varieties: 99 Flag and wagyu tartar.
The highlight of the dinner is the 99 black cod au gratin served with two layers of red miso. Wrapping up the gastronomic journey through the finest of Japanese cuisine is the sato platter, featuring a selection of desserts like ice creams, chocolate flakes, crunchy honey, golden leaves and the delightful touch of popping candy.
There will be a free flow of premium beverages from 8pm until midnight, with a complimentary glass of champagne to ring in 2020. Celebrations continue until 2am for all those who stay on for the after party.
Floor-to-ceiling windows and a cosy terrace provide a striking panoramic view of the Arabian Gulf for guests at 99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant. However, on December 31, this becomes a top spot on Al Maryah Island to catch the fireworks live.
