Food Fund International (FFI) has announced the grand re-opening of its elite brand of steakhouse, The Meat Co at Souk Madinat Jumeirah. Known for its outstanding authentic style, food and ambiance, the refreshed makeover promises diners a gastronomic journey in the enriched upscale space.
Being more than 15 years in operation, The Meat Co. is reputable for being a pioneer in the highly competitive premium steakhouse category. The favourite African luxury restaurant is a big hit with Souk visitors and ever since it closed for renovation, the anticipation for the re-opening has been much awaited.
The New Design
The restaurant’s space has undergone a completely new look to further enhance the guests’ entire experience. By using traditional African influences with a touch of modern luxury and a striking combination of colour, texture and finishes. The reimagination consists of elegance meets African style and tradition throughout the spacious indoor and outdoor venue.
One of the interior recreations is the open plan kitchen created for guests to view the theatrical acts of cooking. As for the exterior space, diners can look forward to an expanded deck surrounded by turquoise-hued waters overlooking the iconic Burj Al Arab; making it the ideal spot to grab a meal especially in the cool winter weather season.
Refreshed Menu
Alongside a full aesthetic revamp, there are some fresh additions to its signature menu of delicacies. The Meat Co. offers a wide range of food options from the finest steaks to carefully curated seafood dishes, the cuisine is filled with variation and flavour to ensure that there is something for everyone. For those non-meat eaters there are also halal, vegetarian-friendly and gluten-free options.
Group Executive Chef Praba Manickam and the team have designed an array of flavourful dishes, including newcomers such as Venison Tataki, and Wagyu Biltong. Entrées include Seared Scallops and Entrée Platter (made for sharing) paired with fresh oysters and razor clams.
What would The Meat Co be without its juicy meat selection? Highlights on the menu include Australian Black Onyx, and Japanese A5 Hokkaido Wagyu Beef served with a choice of side order and sauces. The Meat Co Speciality Burger made of 100% pure Angus beef patty.
Seafood-lovers are up for a feast, as the menu includes Seabass Ceviche, Salmon Crudo, and entrées include lightly poached Razor Clams Ceviche followed by a new delicious main course Sea Bass Fillet comes with mussels, buttered baby boy choy, Salicornia and pea shoot.
For all the vegetarians, the culinary team has prepared delectable crunchy Brussels Sprouts & Endives and homemade Spinach & Ricotta Tortellini stuffed with datterini tomato sauce. If craving Wagyu Biltong slices, diners can now add the home-made goodness with salad orders.
