Ever-aware of the constantly-evolving tastes and moods of Dubai’s food scene, Black Tap, the cult New York-inspired dining venue, is mixing up its menu with mega new additions to its burger, shake and tacos game.
As the undisputed home of CrazyShake™, Black Tap’s new menu now boasts nine monster milkshakes – including two brand-new additions. Leading the charge is The Crazy Banana, a banana-Nutella shake with a Nutella-frosted rim, topped with crushed pretzels, a fried banana, white Kinder Bueno chocolate, whipped cream, chocolate chips and chocolate caramel drizzle.
The other CrazyShake™ newbie is The New Yorker, a strawberry flavoured shake featuring a vanilla-frosted rim with crushed Graham crackers, topped with a strawberry cheesecake slice, whipped cream, strawberry sauce drizzle and a cherry.
Burger me
Elsewhere, six new burgers on the Black Tap block are sure to get guests giddy. The Gulf Burger comprises Black Tap’s renowned prime Greater Omaha USA beef burger stacked with arugula, zaatar, marinated halloumi cheese, pesto mayo, sun dried tomatoes, avocado and parmesan cheese, while The Truffle Burger comprises a Wagyu steak patty topped with black truffle mayo.
The final four new burgers include The Filet au Poivre Burger, which boasts a tenderloin steak piled high with peppercorn sauce, frizzled onions and swiss cheese or blue cheese, as well as the Pizza Burger, Chili Cheese Burger and Reuben Burger. Add them up and Black Tap’s gourmet burger count now stands at 17, with dedicated offerings for vegetarians and vegans.
In true Black Tap fashion, it’s not just the burgers and milkshakes section of the menu that’s welcoming newcomers. Latino-inspired starter additions include a new Mexican Chili– a heaping helping of chili con carne, pico de gallo and crema, served with chips, and Queso and Chips – a bowl of Mexican melting cheese with pico de gallo, cilantro and scallions.
Taco to me
Taco fans aren’t left out with two new offerings: Carne Asada, which come stacked with a generous filling of marinated steak, pico de gallo, caramelised onions and roasted tomato salsa, while the new Shrimp taco is smothered in Mexican hot sauce and served with cabbage, avocado, and corn.
Don’t forget breakfast
And that’s not all. As well as the new daytime and evening menu items, Black Tap Rixos Premium JBR joined the Al Naseem and the InterContinental Dubai Festive city venues with the roll out of its breakfast menu from April 5th. With the well-tested formula of generous US portions and authentic ingredients, the New York-inspired breakfast is served from 9am to 2pm and includes unique dishes such as Slow roasted beef eggs benedict and Croissant and buttermilk pancakes crammed with orange, cranberry and ricotta.
