TakaHisa Japanese Restaurant is thrilled to announce the return of Chef Izumi Kimura from the Michelin-starred Sushijin in Toyama for an exclusive three-day culinary event from June 9th to 11th, 2024.
Building on the success of their previous collaborations, this third event promises an extraordinary Omakase menu featuring all-new dishes, predominantly fish with one or two exceptional beef offerings. Guests can choose from seating times at 6 pm or 9 pm on Sunday 9th June, or 1 pm, 6 pm or 9 pm on Monday, 10th June and Tuesday, 11th June. Priced at AED 3,000 per person, this highly exclusive event will cater to only 20 guests per seating, ensuring an intimate and immersive dining experience hosted by Chefs Taka, Hisa, and Kimura.
Sushijin, a celebrated culinary destination in Toyama, holds a prestigious MICHELIN star and is renowned for its sushi Omakase menu. Chef Kimura, a self-taught sushi master, began his journey at the age of 29 after a transformative dining experience at Ginza Kyubey in Tokyo. His dedication and skill have led Sushijin to become a sought-after venue, attracting diners from across Japan.
Chef Kimura is known for his meticulous use of Akazu (red vinegar) and his ability to create Edomae-style sushi with locally caught seafood, offering a unique flavor profile that captivates every guest. His expertise will be complemented by TakaHisa’s Chefs Taka and Hisa, renowned in the region for their mastery in sushi and wagyu, respectively. Together, they will present a harmonious blend of traditional techniques and modern innovation, paying deep respect to Japanese culinary culture.
This collaboration will not only highlight the finest premium seafood sourced from Japan’s Toyosu Fish Market but also feature A5 Kobe beef, known for its exceptional quality and marbling.
