Ready for its second edition, Farrago Bar & Lounge, located in W Dubai – Mina Seyahi, will host a night of double-denim at its Retro 80 party on Friday 7th June, from 9 pm. Following its resounding success in May, the evening is designed to take everyone back to their all-time favourite decade – an era that celebrated bold styles and prints while giving us some of the best songs ever produced.
Expect a night filled with nostalgia, music, and revelry like never before. Farrago Bar & Lounge will be transformed into a dazzling scene from 9 PM to 2 AM, featuring disco roller skaters gliding around, silver shimmers hanging from the ceiling, and disco lights reflecting off the mirrored floor. Dance the night away to carefully selected 80s music by the renowned Diamond Setter. A dynamic blend of legendary classic soul, funk, and disco tunes, including hits like Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance with Somebody, Tina Turner’s What’s Love Got to Do With It and Michael Jackson’s Man in the Mirror.
This time around, Retro 80 will feature a dress code and outfit inspiration of denim-on-denim. Guests are encouraged to channel their inner retro style and embrace the era’s fashion in their most creative denim outfits — a look before Britney and Timberlake made it cool.
For those who haven’t yet experienced Farrago Bar & Lounge, it is located on the ground floor of W Dubai – Mina Seyahi. Beyond its entrance lies the Leopard Bar, an intimate space characterised by its vivid colours, luxurious velvet chairs, and a ceiling adorned with one giant mirror. Diamond Setter will be spinning classic ’80s hits right next to the entrance, creating a vibrant energy for the evening.
The music will also flow outside on the terrace, allowing guests to dance beneath the stars or unwind on concrete benches while enjoying time with friends.
