Dubai’s favourite Caribbean hotspot, Miss Lily’s, is gearing up to host international DJ, sound engineer, artist and performer, Doowap, for her highly anticipated debut on Saturday, April 29th! Kicking off the night will be none other than DJ Lehash, Miss Lily’s resident fire starter, so you know you’re in for a treat.
Known for her eclectic DJ sets, high-energy performances and afro futuristic style, Khetsiwe ‘Doowap’ Morgan has been a live mix DJ for the past 9 years, touring the globe and playing at numerous prestigious events including Soulection, Les Amis, Sole DXB, Everyday Ppl, Afropunk Festival, Boiler Room, and the Daily Paper event for Paris Fashion Week, as well as opening for international acts like MIA when touring South Africa.
The end of 2021 saw her release genre-bending singles, forming part of a new era for Doowap, stepping further into her artistry as a songwriter, musician & performer, with an album set to launch this summer. Doowap is authentic, dynamic and versatile, championing the expansive South African music scene (Amapiano, Kwaito & Gqom) as nimbly as AfroPop, RnB and Hip Hop – making her the perfect headliner for this signature Miss Lily’s night.
