Goldfish Sushi & Yakitori Introduces Home-Made Crafted Mocktails

Goldfish Sushi & Yakitori, a Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand recipient by Michelin star chef Akmal Anuar has added three home-made crafted mocktails to its beverage menu.

The new refreshing, bubbly drinks called Hana, A Ni, and Aperol spritz are created using fragrant ingredients that are unique in Southeast Asia.

Head Barista Chan Myae Aung explained: “Hana means flower in Japanese, number one in Korean, craft in Hawaiian, shine or gold in Maori. We named the new mocktail Hana because of its ingredients, the Paraguayan lemon verbena leaf that gives a delicious fragrance anda citrusy flavorcoming from the grapefruit sugared oil. When mixed, it produces a light gold-green color, giving a sweet and clean taste with a hint of bergamot and woody lemongrass, imparting a lingering freshness.”

A Ni means red in the Burmese language and the spritz is a flavorsome concoction of forest berry and peppermint, infusing a breath of fresh air for the senses. “The initial hit is sweet, tastes like strawberry and blueberry and the other ingredient, the cranberry adds a mouthwatering flavour to the drink,” adds Chan.

Aperol is made from orange sugared oil with sweet prosecco and non-alcoholic Aperol and soda water. The spritz is available in craft bottles and priced at AED40.

Goldfish Sushi & Yakitori, located at Galleria Mall in Wasl Road is open daily from 12:00pm to 12:00am. Diners can walk-in and enjoy these inventive mocktails, to sip indoors or at the terrace which has recently opened, along with the award-winning selection of sushi, uni, yakitori and many more.
