Café Bateel, an award-winning restaurant renowned for its sophisticated dishes, introduces a new seasonal menu inspired by the wholesome flavours of the Mediterranean summer.
“Our talented chefs have travelled the world in pursuit of culinary perfection, to ensure our guests experience only the finest, freshest ingredients. This summer, we have meticulously curated a menu that combines authenticity, innovation, and most importantly nutrition”, says Chef Nicholas Cuadrado,Bateel’s Culinary Director.
Each menu item has been created using premium ingredients sustainably sourced from home-grown farms, including Bateel’s date groves in Al Ghat, Saudi Arabia, to the wheat fields of Umbria, Italy, and local farms in the UAE. In addition, Café Bateelsupportssustainable agriculture by providing partner farms with composting ingredients to ensure organic and quality yields.
The new menu reflects Café Bateel’s inherent commitment to excellence, with a selection of nutritious food, from fresh salads to exceptional signature mains, delectable desserts, and refreshing beverages that are suitable for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Guests can indulge in a healthy and nourishing breakfast featuring new vegan selections, which are crafted from nutritional ingredients without compromising taste. One of the ambrosial vegan options is the BateelPorridge, which tastefully melds Bateel’s all-natural date syrup with quinoa, chia seeds, rolled oats, and almond milk served with fresh bananas, summer berries, and topped with roasted coconut flakes.
Otherhig hlights from the menu include the Minestrone soup, a piquant beef broth boasting impeccable richness, served with mini meatballs, Umbrian beans, Orzo pasta, crispy croutons, and Parmigiano Reggiano. For guests with a palate for seafood, the Wild Black Cod is a must-try. In its interpretation, Café Bateel pan-sears the protein-rich black cod, exclusively sourced from the Northern Pacific, to achieve the perfect balance of soft meat and crispy golden-brown crust, which is then served on a bed of Basque-style chickpeas, roasted peppers, tomatoes, and broccolini. Furthermore, with the Braised Short Rib Cannelloni, Café Bateel serves up a homemade version of the Italian cannelloni filled with tender short rib and the scrumptious tastes of veal, Italian four-cheese, and Pomodoro sauce.
Sweet lovers can indulge in artisanal desserts featuring delightful flavours that make irresistible summer treats. With the rich and creamy Date Tres Leches, Café Bateel adds a regional twist to the famed Latin American dessert, blending Café Bateel’s vanilla date syrup into a light and moist sponge, finished with fresh mascarpone, Chantilly cream, and Segai dates. Dessert connoisseurs who enjoy a perfect blend of tangy and sweet can also relish the Lemon Tart. Café Bateel creates its take on the famous French dessert, filling handmade tart pastry with zingy lemon curd, fresh lemon confit, Italian meringue, and whipped lemon jelly.
The new summer menu also serves a selection of drinks infused with luscious summer flavours – from fruity mocktails to date and pistachio-infused beverages.
Café Bateel’s new summer menu is now available across its restaurants and delivery platforms in the UAE, and will be available in its KSA branches for dine-in and delivery this July.
