Retro-style Mediterranean restaurant Basko has cranked it up a notch with its new diverse menu. Exciting, mouth-watering items are now included in their already delicious à la carte cuisine.
Inside Basko, begin with palate teasing beverages by the ’60s inspired bar where guests can sip under soft lighting lamp shades on boldly designed high bar stools. Colours and contrasting patterns are spotted throughout the interior, with a deep-blue ribbed front, marble-top, gold trimmings and blue treillage framing the beverages on display.
Known for their simplicity and freshness, Basko masters the skill of taking guests on the unexpected yet tantalising culinary journey of flavours, from the Mediterranean culture and region. Taking a drink from the bar, guests are welcome to dine amongst the stars under the eye of The Burj Khalifa or enjoy the unique and decorative artisanal space inside. Starting with the newly introduced Raw Langoustines with citrus olive oil, Grilled Calamari with piquitos citrus & tomato sauce or the Rolled Langoustines with basil, lemon zest and pimento mayo, diners can expect a crisp and flavoursome start to their experience at Basko.
Take a moment to settle the tastebuds before indulging in the spicy Risotto Chorizo & pimento, a creamy dish that can satisfy the most cosmopolitan of palates. The final new addition to the à la carte menu, brings the succulent Duck Thigh confit with veal bacon & potato grenaille. This meltingly tender, adorned French dish will effortlessly fall off the bone leaving guests with nothing but pure satisfaction. Complete this culinary journey to the Mediterranean with a refreshing Lemon Meringue Tart or ‘to share’ signature Basko Cake.
If the sounds of the resident DJ are keeping guests vibing, then why not take the party upstairs beyond the chandelier-inspired staircase to Basko’s private speakeasy Suave. Cocktails will continue to flow and the night will become an old school, jazz-funk retro blow-out.
