With many Brits not being able to get home for summer, indie burger joint SLAW will be serving up a limited-edition ‘Brits Menu’ to coincide with the UK August bank holiday. Mr. SLAW has created his version of the iconic dish, Fish and Chips. A beautifully crisp beer battered cod fillet, placed on top of a generous helping of minted mushy peas, topped with dill pickles, tartar sauce, cushioned between two soft potato buns and crowned with a spiced lemon wedge.
The British inspired burger is accompanied with good old fashioned English chip-shop chips – light and fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside – served with lashings of salt and malt vinegar just like in Dear Old Blighty. The meal is complete with a true taste of British summer, a refreshing glass of virgin Pimm’s. The fruit cup inspired mocktail is steeped in fruit for 48 hours and finished with ginger ale, sparkling water, strawberries, cucumber, lemon and mint.
