Adding their trademark molecular gastronomy stamp to traditional Ramadan dining, Farzi Café has created an innovative Iftar menu that blends Indian, Middle-Eastern flavours. Available throughout the holy month for Farzi guests to break fast at sunset, the elaborate sharing-style feast will turn taste palates upside down with classic Arabic dishes such as kadaifirubbing shoulders with Northern Indian delicacies like Paneer Lababdar.
Served with that infamous Farzi theatrical flair, the #farzified Iftar menu will start with a date yoghurt ‘welcome shot’ before launching into a light Chicken Mulligatawny soup flavored with Indian spices to stimulate the appetite. Popular for centuries across both Indian subcontinent and the Middle East, a selection of crowd-pleasing kebabs will follow, from the veggie deliciousness of Hara Bhara kebabs blending spinach and cottage cheese in delicious patties to Chapli kebabs popular in Pakistan and Afghanistan melding minced chicken and spices; plus classic Tawa lamb chops with housemade mint chutney. Mains include succulent Chicken Tikka on a bed of mint-infused Pulao with Matha spheres and Northern Indian favourite Paneer Tikka Lababdaarserved with tomato-based gravy and fluffy oregano paratha.
To end Iftar on a sweet note, the Farzi team have gone all out with a fresh take on Indian favourite syrup-soaked jalabis, this time infused with charcoal for a dramatic look and served with a rich mascarpone. Each guest will also get a complimentary break your fast favourite Vimto and the chance to sample a brand new milk-based Falooda introduced exclusively for Ramadan.
The Farzi Café Iftar Menu will be available at both Farzi Café locations in City Walk and Mall of Emirates from 12th April to 12th May 2021. The menu will be priced at AED 149 per person and be available for dine in or delivery.
