99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant Launches New Business Lunch Menu

Fresh, seasonal and sophisticated – these are the perfect three words that describe the popular Omakase business lunch at 99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant.

The Japanese haute-cuisine restaurant recently announced extending the weekday offering until the end of the year to meet the growing customer demand.

Featuring nine courses, the new Omakase menu features a selection of signature starters like the Kobe edamame prepared in Kobe wagyu fat and topped with shichimi togarashi.

The ‘Capumiso soup’ – presented like a cappuccino – is next on the menu. Made with fermented soy, seaweed, truffle, leeks and tofu foam, this delightful dish is only the beginning to an exquisite culinary journey through the finest of Japanese cooking.

While the much-loved spicy tuna tartar remains on the menu, the chefs have switched out the nigiri options with the more seasonally apt quail egg and turbot flambé varieties.

Delivering a burst of flavours in each bite is the intriguing fatty tuna and smoked bacon beef taco, which is served with a chili tomato emulsion and aromatised herbs.

For dessert, there is a selection of mochi ice-creams followed by a cup of coffee or tea.

Priced at AED 149 per person, the Omakase business lunch is available from Sunday through Thursday and is served from 12pm until 3.30pm.

Floor-to-ceiling windows provide a striking panoramic view of the Arabian Gulf, while the stunning interior sets the mood for some subtly complex modern Japanese cooking. For a more intimate setting, the venue also boasts a private dining room that often needs to be reserved in advance.
